Bypass Grafts
In this procedure, a vein graft from the patient's body or a graft is made from artificial material is used to create a detour around a blocked artery.

Thrombectomy
This procedure is used only when symptoms of PVD develop suddenly as a result of a blood clot. It involves a balloon catheter being inserted into the affected artery beyond the clot. The balloon is then inflated and pulled back, bringing the clot with it.
